Mobile taxes depend on service location

USA telecommunications taxes can vary by jurisdiction. Aelixar therefore calculates tax only after a valid five-digit service ZIP code has resolved to a canonical city and state.

The location step occurs before customer details and payment review.

  • Five-digit ZIP
  • Resolved city and state
  • Location-based tax

Use the service address, not a guess

Enter the address associated with the mobile service. A physical SIM can still have a different delivery address.

The server revalidates the ZIP during order creation so altered browser values cannot bypass the location check.

  • Service street address
  • Separate delivery address
  • Server-side revalidation

Payment is blocked if tax cannot be confirmed

The final cost, tax, and total must be available before payment. If the tax service is temporarily unavailable, the entered data remains available for review and retry.

No Stripe Checkout Session should be created until the order total is valid.

  • Review ZIP and address
  • Retry without re-entering everything
  • Final total before Stripe
